UFC on ABC 7 will be held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This will be the first time a UFC event has been held in Abu Dhabi since October 2023. The upcoming fights will take place on August 3, 2024.

Cory Sandhagen
Sandhagen is 17-4 in his career, with his only UFC losses coming from Aljamain Sterling, TJ Dillashaw and Petr Yan. After losing to Yan, he’s won his last three and is ranked number two in the division right now. His striking style is great to watch, and he’s finished some big names, such as Frankie Edgar and Marlon Moraes, in spectacular fashion.
Umar Nurmagomedov
Undefeated in his career with a record of 17-0, Umar Nurmagomedov has had a lot of hype around him since he arrived in the UFC in 2021. It helps that he’s the cousin of Khabib, although their fighting styles are very different. Umar uses a lot of flashy striking and rarely uses his takedowns or wrestling. Despite his quality, he hasn’t faced many top opponents so far in the UFC and is only ranked 10th.
Nick Diaz
Nick Diaz is a legend of the sport, having first fought at UFC 44 back in 2003. Now, more than two decades later, he’ll once again enter the octagon. Unfortunately, the Stockton-based fighter has lost three of his last four fights, including his comeback against Robbie Lawlor in 2021. His last win in the cage was in 2011 against BJ Penn.
Vicente Luque
The Silent Assassin has a 22-10-1 record across his professional career, with fifteen wins in the UFC. He lost his last fight to Joaquim Buckley in March and has two wins in his last five fights. He’s currently ranked as the 14th-best welterweight in the promotion and has an excellent finish rate.

Main Event
Sandhagen is coming off three straight wins, including a recent unanimous decision in a main event against Rob Font. The former interim title challenger would still be one of the next in line for a shot at the belt, but he chose to take on this risky fight against Nurmagomedov. He has the height and reach advantage and is the higher-ranked fighter but remains the UFC betting underdog.
Nurmagomedov has a lot of interest due to his undefeated record and the fact that his cousin is one of the greatest lightweights of all time. He’s looked extremely talented so far but hasn’t fought high-calibre opposition so far in the UFC. This will be his biggest test yet. However, the MMA odds show he’s a significant favourite.

Luque was on an impressive four-fight win streak before he faced Belal Muhammed in 2022. Since then, he has one win and three losses. He’s returning after a loss only three months ago, which could be soon to come back. However, his excellent finishing rate has seen him win half of his wins by KO/TKO, and he’s always dangerous.
According to the latest UFC odds, Nick Diaz is a significant underdog in this fight, and for good reason. The 40-year-old looked bad in his last fight three years ago and hasn’t won in over a decade. Most fans think he shouldn’t be fighting, and the betting lines suggest there’s a good chance he gets stopped.
